Laughter under the moonlight

Shining light of hope, even the night is smiling under the mood of this festive season.

Had a lot of fun last night at chinese garden. They have this lanturn festival going on so the gang decided to go for a walk after bloody adrian michael lee lecture lol. Went to have Macs at Engine Fac first before being chauffeured there, courtesy of Yin Ngai haha. Zhenjian and Chee Keong got to take bus there cuz the car cant carry tat many people. Anyway i was dying to sit in the lol, car leh lol! They sky was kinda clear last night so u can get to see the gibbous moon in the sky, almost to full moon. Next to the moon was another star, Yong Cong said that it was Venus cuz from wat we learn in Understanding Universe, Venus is the 3rd brightest star apart from the Sun and the Moon. Ok lah Venus lah lol i anything de haha. Suddenly out of the planetary calling i have been labelled as planet Uranus. Uranus stands for the king of gods in ancient greek mythtology haha. But that wasnt how i was given this name. People usually pronouse Uranus as "you-ray-ness" but Adrian and soon the whole gang, started to call it as "your-anus" cuz of Ur and Anus. ROAR! Suddenly being the king of all gods doesnt mean much when your underlings keep calling you "anu, anu", zzz. I dont want to be Uranus it's so far away, i wanna be Venus, Goddess of Love haha. OK ENOUGH dont rain me with the "gay, gay" comments. Lets proceed to the lanturn festival. I said ENOUGH LOOK AT THE NEXT PARAGRAPH NOW!

Moving on... Yin Ngai, Rachel, You mei, Angelina and I arrived at Chinese Garden first cuz duh, the car is always faster than the bus lol but being early doesnt mean anything at all, especially without a camera. Immediately the girls and I embarked on a tour of photo-whoring frenzy and started taking photos with every lanturn characters lol. But sadly it didnt work out well. Camera phone SUCKS at this point of time cuz it cant capture the essence of moi and the others next to the lanturn. Cuz the lanturns are too bright and makes the surrounding look so dark. The camera resolution stinks, even when i am using my 3.2 megapixel camera i still cant take it well. So it's like taking the pictures of lanturns even though u are like standing 1cm next to the lanturn, you wont be captured in the picture haha cuz the lanturn outshines the person next to it haha. Since the camera was with Zhenjian, the early birds can only sigh and walk around aimlessly looking at the displays. So many people went there it was so crowded lol. Many kids, young couples, families etc etc all went there to enjoy the festive mood. It is kinda my first time going to Chinese Garden even though it's just a few stops from my house but who cares haha, there's always a first time haha. We were given free lanturn coupons to redeem but we couldnt find the booth haha, well we were kinda like busy cam-whoring so no time to carry lanturns around lol. And i see so many people carrying this really really cute balloon that is shaped like a dog and wats more, the balloon sinks it doesnt float, and there are little feets on the balloon so it looks like if the dog balloon is "walking" haha. Anyway the girls were starting to get impatient cuz we cant take photos without Zhenjian's camera. So when we realise that Zhenjian and Chee Keong are making their way slowly, perhaps cam-whoring along the way as well, the girls and I went "WHAT THE ****", ok the **** was by me haha, and demand presence at the meeting point now haha. So after strolling for close to 1 hour, we finally started taking pictures haha. Overall we took about 96 photos lol, a freaking 140Mb worth of pictures taken lol. Woo hoo but i will only post a few here, cuz i am gonna save some to put them on my friendster and facebook. Almost half of the photos are lanturn displays so i wont post much here haha. Took a lot of group photos, lanturn photos, insane stun photos lol we just havoc around Chinese Garden haha, self-high haha. Rest a bit, see below lol. By the way the theme for this year is Hello Kitty and gang. Might sound kinda girlish but you can be surprise to see that the number of guys at chinese garden almost equals that to the girls lol, mainly dragged by their female counterparts lol. Heck the cat without a mouth, just enjoy the scenic view lah

Alrite will end this blog with this photo by the pagoda. It's really quite a scenic view there at Chinese Garden. I wont mind going again next time haha, and definite take more photos out of it. We ended at 11pm till the whole place close down lol, it was just so much fun there. Taking photos, making fun of the lanturns, buying food, walking, gossiping, you name it haha.

It can be a really romantic place. You can go with your partner, buy one ice-cream, find a secluded spot in Chinese Garden and you eat the ice cream together, while enjoying the wonderful night scene. It's going to be an unforgettable night.

Even Venus is shining high in the sky, giving the blessing to all the couples down on Earth. The constellations are moving.
