Goodbye day
Lets have a quick summary about this week.
Lab was long this week but i get to work along well with my lab mates, make a lot of new friends on tat day and we just work our way through the long hours. The reflux sure took a lot of time waiting and i went for lunch with Shin Ye, Ruth, Yuan Hua and the friendly TA. It's a good thing to have a nice TA in our lab, it's been a while since i encounter a friendly and helpful TA. In the end Shin Ye thought that her compound was pure while me and Ruth they all had a different coloured compound from her. In the end we wont be judged base on the purity of the compound, so heng lor haha. Only 1 report to do and i only need to hand it up after my term break. 2 weeks to do 1 report, SWEET!
Failed my IPPT again zzz so congratulation for promoting to Phase 2. Chee Keong they all were gloating at me, damn evil lol. It's like what Ronnie's friend said on that day: 4 cm from a pass equals 4 weeks of RT hell, that was a funny one haha. Guess i will be seeing most of the same faces again next week at Maju Camp, wat a waste of my time zzz. I might have to skip that stupid stats lecture on tuesday or run off early on boring Toh's lecture on monday or thursday to make up time for my RT session. RT is taking a toll on my social life this semester, stress ah.
Inorganic test today was kinda like a roller coaster ride for me. I was paronoid about the point group symmetry and at the same time confused about the outer/inner sphere mechanism cuz Dr Huang did not put up the solutions on IVLE before i went to sleep. Borrowed from Chee Keong for a while to read up only to realise how idiotic the solution turned out to be. Anyway 5 questions 20 marks each, total 10%. 1st question was ok just simply playing around. 2nd question i tink i lost a bit of marks liao. 3rd question was pure drawing of isomers, i was quite confident in the drawings. 4th questions i just answer in pure geometry reasoning and a little referencing from Mr Yin Ngai's answer haha. Final one was the ultimate killer, SALC molecular diagram lor and everybody has got different diagrams haha, so nobody noes who is correct or not haha. But i guessed d3 for tat stupid symmetry, i cant tink of anything else. C3v?? Maybe.
Finally term break is here. A break yes, both a form of rest and breaking my spirit zzz. I have got 2 projects to rush, 2 tests to study and 1 report to do. Stats meeting on monday, cosmetic meeting soon till Chee Keong settles a date. Argh, i still need to run about everywhere during the term break. Somemore i got RT to attend and i need to balance my studies at the same time. Physical needs practice and analytical takes up a long time to digest. Utterly disgusting, i guess i can bury my face in the books again during this term break. So fast eh half a sem is already over, just within a month or so and its the end of 1 semester again. Time flies really fast when you are preoccupied with stuff to do. Good, it beats having nothing to do at all. But the mental torture can be excruciating for me haha, i need to destress!
I am tired. Tired from the work, the exercises and almost everything around me. All i can do is to pull up a strong smile in front of everyone to say "I am fine". I feel a sense of relief after this inorganic test today. Temporary but i welcome it with open arms. One more time, i can get over with this. I need to because i have no one else to lean on if i were to fall, so i will never allow myself to fall.
In this colourful world lies a grey boundary
that seperates what is wrong from what is right
From the primary colours of red blue green
to the endless limit of black and white
While complicating colours are alluring and mesmorising
they usually hide what is wrong from what is right
The simplicity of all or nothing makes it a little less attractive
but the truth holds everything like a naked star under the night
Hate the truth, for a moment
Love the lies, always
Farewell to school, farewell to freedom
