Final organic chemistry

Haha, finally its the end of practicals for my organic chemistry. Here is a picture of me with my final purified product, Mr Dibenzalacetone aka. Almond-smelling liquid which looks like urine to me haha. Last day of organic chemistry, i am going to miss all the crystal growing, suction filtration and mixing of chemicals which give all sorts of colours and smells haha. Gonna miss my lab partner Willy lol, we just get along so well along the practical session. Gonna miss our beloved TA, Jun Ye, who is always so nice to us. Well i will still get to see her during tutorial lol, practical is so much fun. Yah there were the grueling times when we have to queue up for so long just to use the melting point machine, overcrowding of people at a fumehood queuing to do our test like if we are buying 4D or TOTO lol. Gonna miss the cool ethanol washing hehe. Ah well too bad i cant smuggle out any chemicals lol. Gonna miss that hot and humid lab lol, i will miss you my beloved fumehood C8, which is where i work at for this semester. Met a lot of new friends in this practical session, sooner or later i am going to befriend all 300 of the chemical cohort students and like what the girl says, gonna exchange msn contact will all 300 LOL.

Ha ha here is another picture of me again. Lol i was like really cam-whoring throughout the whole practical session lol. Everyone is like enjoying the last moment and rushing to finish haha. I am holding a test-tube coated with silver mirrors in the test-tube. Yup thats rite, SILVER!!! With proper extraction and purification, you can almost sell it and i mean literally, silver for money! I want silver haha. Neh i was just doing the Tollen's test for my compound. Learnt about the Tollen's test in JC but never get to try it. This is my first time playing with it and yah the silver coating is just nice and everybody was like "woooooo". It is suppose to look a lot silvery compare to the picture, its so shiny that you wanna steal it away from me lol. Yah nice and shining, i have a hell lot of a time washing it as i need to dip the test-tube into concentrated acid to wash off the mirror lol. Zhenjian was complaining that i cam-whore too long and took too long to finish my experiment haha. Final practical leh, got to enjoy it mah =)

Wow thats the end of the experiment, but the lab report is still there. And what a bomb this final report is one of the HARDEST i have ever done. I spent almost 3 hrs sitting on the com just now doing and i only manage to finish 40%, way off from my 70% target. Didnt get to do revision at all cuz of the report, raining cats and dogs again as usual. I have finally learn to post pictures onto my blog, gonna learn to post more pictures and take more using my handphone. Dear says that my phone is boring cuz i dont have much pictures haha. Ok ok lah i will take more ok then i will show it to you the next time =) I just got so many things that i wanna share with you but we never got the time to do so. I might sound boring sometimes but usually i have so much things left unsaid to you. Its either the timing wasnt enough or the surrounding wasnt perfect.

Ah well its night time already, almost time for me to rest for the day. Lesson only starts for me at 4pm tomorrow lol. Have a good rest k dear, whether or not you are reading my blog or not haha. But if you do, then hmm.....yeah =)
